Let's see what the affiliate would see if he checked out his "stats"now!
Keep that affiliate number and password handy!
Click
here to view the affiliate's stats checking page. (It will come up in
the second browser window we opened earlier.)
Now, enter your affiliate number and password in the designated boxes.
Click on the second radio button and then "GO" -- this will
show you the "traffic stats" for your affiliate page. You should
have at least one hit and one "referer".
Remember in the "signup" step when I asked you to click on
the URL just to log a hit? Well, the first referer line should be from that
action! Subsequent hits from YOUR computer probably won't register, because
that page has been cached on your computer. But hits from someone else WILL
be logged!
This is a VERY SIGNIFICANT advantage to your affiliates -- it allows
them to see WHERE their traffic is coming from. So they don't waste time
on unproductive advertising!
Now, in the second window, back up one page and click on the OTHER radio
button, and then click on GO.
Now, click on the link for the current month -- you should see the commission
information for the order you placed earlier! Your affiliates will love
this!
Okay, now we're going to look at that order from the perspective of the
affiliate program owner . . .

here to view the order detail page. (Again, it will open up in the second
browser window.)
Enter your "admin" password and the affiliate number that you
were assigned when you "signed up".
Now enter today's date in both the "From" and "To"
date fields, and click on either of the two radio buttons (or try both ways!)
. . .
Click on "Show Orders" and you should see the order that you
placed earlier!
(Note that if you chose an "abbreviated" format, you can click
on the time link to "drop down" to the fully detailed report.)
