In this first step, you're going to see what a new affiliate sees.
The "Signup Form" link (below) will take you to the (guess?!),
yes, that's right sports fans, the SIGNUP FORM!
It will open up the sign-up form in a new browser
window . . .
Go ahead and fill it out. If you want to see all the emails that get
sent out when someone signs up, be sure to use your own email address.
If you're uncomfortable with the idea of using your own email address,
keep in mind that you can delete your "affiliate record" later
on in the demo. Or you can just use "millenium@palis.com" -- that's
an alias I've set up.
Once you submit the signup form, you should receive
a message (on your browser) which includes your ASSOCIATE NUMBER and your
PASSWORD. Write these down, you'll need them later.
(Note that this password is NOT the same as your
admin password -- this is the password that a new affiliate would get --
the admin password is only for the person running the affiliate program.)
You'll also see a link to your new web site -- the one that was just
now created for you, my new affiliate (not for real, don't worry)! Write this URL (link) down too! Now, just to get
a "hit" logged for that new site, click on that link. Once the
page has fully loaded, you can close that second window and go on to the
next step from here.
